The future of SEARCH Canada will be achieved through the common commitments of a broader range of stakeholders – both in Alberta and beyond. To achieve its vision and mission, SEARCH Canada’s core businesses are undertaken to achieve one central and four supporting goals:

Increase Evidence Use:
To develop the capacity of health professionals and health organizations to use and disseminate current, relevant and appropriate information to assist in identifying priority health issues and making decisions on these issues based on research results.
Develop Collaborative Networks:
To develop collaborative networks of expertise for knowledge exchange and health research
Disseminate Research Knowledge:
To increase the use and dissemination of research-based knowledge by increasing access throughout the health system
Promote Policy-responsive Research
To promote the value of policy-responsive and applied research by creating innovative solutions to system challenges
Contribute New Knowledge
To contribute to new knowledge about capacity-building for applied research and research use in the health system through research and evaluation
