Applying to SEARCH

Every two years, 25-28 participants are recruited to the SEARCH Classic program. Participants come from a variety of health backgrounds including clinicians, physicians, managers and administrators, senior executives, information and policy analysts, and researchers. Space allocations for the SEARCH Classic program are as follows:

The number of allocated spots is designed to promote one of the key philosophies of SEARCH Canada - community learning. The smaller number allows for an intimate learning environment and encourages the development of strong bonds between participants. This is a fundamental element in the ongoing growth of the SEARCH Canada network.

Recruitment for SEARCH Classic Participants begins the summer of the year prior to the start of the program in April/May. Information sessions are held which outline both the parameters of the SEARCH Classic Program, the value that SEARCH brings to an organization, commitments required by the participants and their organizations, as well as the process for application.

The next SEARCH cohort – SEARCH VII – will begin in May 2009. Applications are being accepted now.
