- Over the course of running six, two-year programs, SEARCH Classic has engaged 150 health professionals from every health region across Alberta, and nearly every discipline and healthcare sector.
- Over the past decade, SEARCH Classic participants have undertaken more than 30 provincial (group projects relevant to a number of organizations) and more than 175 local (individual projects relevant to a participant’s organization) agency-driven, collaborative projects in applied research or research application.
- Seventy per cent of SEARCH Classic participants continue to be active in using and doing research at four years.

Twenty-four participants completed the SEARCH V program with presentations of their local and provincial projects at the SEARCH Conference June 15, 2007, in Edmonton.

Twenty-seven participants, representing all nine health regions, Red Deer College, Calgary EMS, Health Canada, the Excel Society and the Community Medicine Residency Program of the University of Alberta form the SEARCH VI cohort, which commenced in April 2007.
- SEARCH Classic was identified as one of 24 Canadian initiatives by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) for its casebook, “Evidence in Action, Acting on Evidence: A casebook of health services and policy research knowledge translation stories.”
