Learning Charter

SEARCH Canada's Learning Charter provides a mechanism for managers, participants, faculty and staff to share expectations for priority competencies during the course of the program.

The elements and approach of the Learning Charter reflect SEARCH’s learning philosophy and the importance of maintaining effective relationships among the participant, their manager, their sponsoring organization, and SEARCH Canada. As these are different than those commonly associated with a ‘standard’ academic institution, it’s helpful to set out some of the underlying principles that guide how we work together.

SEARCH Classic was created as a resource and catalyst for helping health organizations build capacity through development of their people. As such, our participants are employees accountable to their sponsoring organizations, rather than "registered students". SEARCH faculty and staff endeavor to respect that accountability while providing mentorship and supportive guidance.
