Network Leadership Summits and Symposium
Networks Leadership Summit IV and Symposium - January 11 - 14, 2009
Network Summit
Since 2003, international groups of leading network researchers and managers have come together in a series of meetings to share experience and increase understanding of the nature, value and effective use of networks. At the 2009 event in Banff, this group developed a statement summarizing the consensus reached on the value of stimulating and supporting networks for achieving societal goals.
The fourth NLS Symposium, held in Banff, Alberta featured instruction in two streams - network management and network analysis. Workshop leaders have kindly agreed to share the following readings more broadly.
Network Analysis
-
"A glossary of terms for navigating the field of social network analysis"
Penelope Hawe, Cynthia Webster, Alan Shiell
Network Management
- "Do Networks Really Work? A Framework for Evaluating Public-Sector Organizational Networks"
Keith G. Provan, H. Brinton Milward - "A Manager's Guide to Choosing and Using Collaborative Networks"

Network Leadership Summit III and Symposium - July 22 - 24, 2007

The event was coupled for the first time with an open Symposium attended by 70 people, taking advantage of the international expertise present. Proceedings of these two events can be found by clicking here.
