AACTI
SEARCH Canada and the Alberta Association of Colleges & Technical Institutes (AACTI) are collaborating to support a provincial network of college/institute-based Research Development Advisors to advance innovation in health regions.
The collaboration aligns with AACTI’s Health Community of Practice (CoP), and supports colleges’ and institutes’ desire to align resources with community–based innovation interests.
AACTI has 17 member institutions that reach 106 communities through 168 learning centres or campuses. Innovation is a guiding principle of Alberta colleges and technical institutes that directs excellence in teaching and learning. Faculty are routinely engaged in scholarly work to ensure the institution’s education offerings are relevant and graduates are equipped with the necessary skills to be valued and productive workers. AACTI’s applied research and innovation investments are tailored to explore new ways of aligning members’ competencies with the applied research and innovation interests of community-based entities.
